Dog Cafe Etiquette Policy
Welcome to Ellie's Gourmet Barkery & Cafe! We love dogs and want every guest—both two-legged and four-legged—to have a safe, enjoyable experience. Please review our dog policy before visiting with your furry friend.
Leash Requirement
All dogs must remain on a leash while inside the premises. We recommend a standard leash no longer than 6 feet. Retractable leashes are not permitted. If you arrive with a retractable leash, a standard loaner leash may be available upon request.
Vaccination Requirement
For the health and safety of all animals, dogs must be current on all vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and bordetella. We reserve the right to request proof of vaccination.
Handler Responsibility
Owners and handlers must maintain control of their dog(s) at all times. Please keep your dog close to you, be mindful of other guests, and clean up after your pet if needed. Supplies are available upon request.
Dog Limit
To ensure a comfortable environment for everyone, we allow a maximum of 1 dog per handler.
Behavior Expectations
We welcome friendly, well-socialized dogs. However, any dog displaying aggressive behavior—including but not limited to growling, lunging, snapping, excessive barking, or intimidating other guests—will result in the owner being asked to leave immediately. Repeated incidents may result in being prohibited from returning with that dog.
Liability
Owners are fully responsible and liable for any injury, damage, or disruption caused by their dog. By entering our establishment with your dog, you accept full responsibility for your pet's behavior and agree to cover any costs associated with damages or incidents.
Our Commitment to Safety
We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask any guest to leave if we determine that a dog poses a risk to the safety or comfort of others. These policies exist to protect all of our guests and ensure a positive experience for everyone.
